I have a passion for working on diesels. I own a 2019 F-250 and a 1988 F-250 with a 7.3 idi. In recent events, I've added a factory turbo from a later model with a custom cold air intake on the 88, it added necessary boost that this old pickup needed. It's fun customizing my rigs but the most important fluid in your diesel truck is the engine oil. Not maintaining it or even worse not having enough in the engine leads to the most expensive repairs in the shop. On a light duty diesel pickup, the engine oil and filter should be changed at least every 5,000 miles.
